This coin represents a major development in British numismatics.  This gold stater of Commios is the first inscribed coin made in Britain.  As with a majority of this type, only traces of the inscription are visible in front of the horse, but this is certainly in beautiful condition.  A stunning coin with considerable historical significance.  Chris Rudd May List.                                                                                          16.5.05
