With its swirling asteroidea, zigzag thunderbolt and double lightning flash, the Badbury Starfish is a most distinctive coin, unmatched in its energetic elemental design by few other coins in the ancient British series - the Durotrigan version of the Catuvellaunian Finney's Thunderbolt - made all the more unusual by its scyphate flan.  The short pelleted lines near the edge of the reverse may represent a pseudo-legend.  This is an exceptionally attractive specimen.
