One of the most elusive of all
Celtic coins is this extremely rare
bronze which was perhaps issued by
the Parisii tribe of the Paris
region, c.50BC. On one side is
a human skull, on the other a looped
reverse swastika. What dark
purpose did this sinister coin
serve? Not in La Tour, but in
Chris Rudd's January list.
Keep smiling this Christmas, all you
Coin of the Week watchers!
