It is not often that one can truly
describe a celtic coin as 'extremely
fine'. Here's one of those
rare examples - a bold biga stater
of Cunobelin. This specimen is
particularly interesting because it
clearly reveals one of the two
little faces on the obverse. A
similar face occurs on the TASCIO
RICON staters of Tasciovanos, though
more subtly depicted and not as
obvious. So perhaps it is a
family badge of Tasciovanos or
possibly a tribal emblem of the
